Hi, I’m Greg.

Patient & medicines safety, risk & governance
I’m a qualified pharmacist (MPharm, MRPharmS, FFRPS). I’ve worked both with government authorities and private sector organisations on patient safety and policy initiatives, including for Boots Pharmacy Superintendent’s Office for over 4 years. My expertise includes reviewing and authoring SOPs and policies, developing incident reporting systems, auditing and modelling of staffing levels.
Project management
I’m a PRINCE2-qualified project manager. I’ve worked on projects both large and small, from those influencing 9-figure budgets to those designed to deliver simple organisational changes. Naturally, this has involved managing and developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver the best possible results, seeing through delivery within the necessary timeframes.
Policy development and implementation
I’ve worked for both a very large commercial organisation and not-for-profit organisations researching, authoring, reviewing and developing policy documents. This has included policies designed for internal staff, the public and organisation members. I have experience of drafting responses to consultations, press statements, briefing documents for MPs which have helped inform Commons debate and advisory documents for legal professionals.
Information Governance
My work with Boots included ensuring the company achieved compliance with the NHS Community Pharmacy and Any Qualified Provider IG toolkits. This included developing information governance audit tools, designing an e-learning module used company-wide, establishing an information asset register, development of training for volunteers, students, locums and agency staff and leadership & governance within the company’s IG steering group. I am also qualified as a data protection practitioner and bring those skills to my other work.
Digital
I can design and maintain websites, and have experience of video editing for promotional videos. I can write advanced Excel (visual basic) code and have applied this, for example, in developing digital methods of detecting theft through sophisticated data analysis, and in developing audit tools with automatically generated action plans and reports. I have apply this knowledge to finding patterns through data analysis that others may miss and producing useful MI reports and insights. I’m registered with the British Chartered Institute for IT (MBCS).
Employee Relations
I have significant experience in managing complex employee relations issues and the reasonable and fair application of organisational policies in doing so. This includes advising on disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, organisational change processes, investigations and notetaking.
